Eros Group, leading distributor of world-renowned brands, on Sunday launched Hitachi’s revolutionary king-size eco-friendly refrigerator in the UAE that can save up to 35 per cent power consumption. Hitachi’s Ultra Big2 series refrigerators in UAE featuring extremely large capacity with state-of-art features that provide convenience and ease of use to the consumers. The price ranges from Dh2,999 to Dh4,999 in the UAE. The new refrigerator is empowered with advanced features like big moisture-guard vegetable compartment, intelligent inverter compressor, advanced minus–zero cooling, eco-thermo sensor amongst others. “Eros Group is committed towards bringing the latest and finest of products to its consumers in UAE. We are proud to launch Hitachi’s latest offering, the Ultra Big2 Refrigerator, which has a cutting-edge technology that will truly enrich the living experience. The product will be a break-through and we are confident that it will appeal to all,” Eros Group chief executive officer Deepak Babani told reporters at the launch event. “Our overall market share in refrigerator segment was 13 per cent last year while more than 250,000 refrigerators were sold in the country in the same period,” Babani said. Eros only focus larger size in refrigerators, he added. “At Hitachi, we believe in inspiring others to live a good life by offering those products with latest and innovative technology,” said Haruki Hirose, managing director for Hitachi Consumer Marketing Middle East office at the launch ceremony. The UAE is the first market and the company will launch this series in other Gulf markets within two months, Hirose said. The Ultra Big2 series refrigerator is one of the most energy efficient innovations in the market as it provides 10 per cent more cooling power and also reduces energy consumption. Through a combination of its unique low-floor design and compact evaporator, the innovation offers an amazingly large storage making it an ideal match for modern kitchen interiors.
