Egypt seeks two ways to resolve the crisis of a controversial dam to be set up by Ethiopia on the Blue Nile, said Ambassador in Addis Ababa Mohamed Edris on Saturday. In statements on the sidelines of an African Union meeting in Algiers, Edris said one course is technical as preparations are underway for a meeting to bring together the water ministers of Egypt, Ethiopia and Sudan in Cairo. The meeting will be held in the coming few days, the diplomat told MENA correspondent in the Algerian capital. The other course is political through a visit by the Ethiopian foreign minister to Egypt in the coming period to discuss the crisis, said Edris. There will be talks between the Egyptian foreign minister and his Ethiopian counterpart on the sidelines of the AU meeting here, he added. The planned dam is said to affect the water shares of Egypt and Sudan.
