The Emirates Environmental Group held the 14th edition of the Clean Up UAE in the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah.
As many as 600 volunteers, equipped with bio-degradable trash bags, cotton re-usable gloves, caps and t-shirts, picked up trash one by one in a massive Clean Up drive that collected approximately 2 tonnes of waste at the wide expanse of the Al Jazeera, Al Hamra site.
The event in Ras al-Khaimah Clean Up was held in the presence of Sheikh Mohammed bin Kayed Al Qasimi, President of the Department of Economic Development in Ras al-Khaimah.
The event began with the hoisting of the Clean Up UAE flag followed by the opening speech by Habiba Al Mar'ashi, Chairperson of Emirates Environmental Group, who welcomed all the participants and shared the details of the campaign
