To participate in the competition, which will run from 6th November through to 30th April 2017, contestants must follow EAD's Instagram account, and upload photos taken using the hashtag "#capturealwathba". One photo per participant can be entered into this competition.
The winning photos will be chosen by a jury comprising a group of Emirati journalists and photographers, including Khadeeja Al Marzooqi, Editor-in-chief of Emirates 24/7 news portal, Hamad Al Kaabi, Emirati photographer and volunteer photographer at Emirates Red Crescent, EAD photographers, Dr. Richard Perry, EAD's Advisor, and Ahmed Al Dhaheri, Acting Unit Head of the Terrestrial Protected Areas.
This year, the competition will consist of two categories: a Professional Photographers category and an Amateur Photographers category. Winners will be announced during an event that will be held at Al Wathba Wetland Reserve.
