On the eve of World Environment Day, global marine terminal operator DP World has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Dubai Carbon Centre of Excellence (DCCE) to review its operations in the region. The initial phase of the five year agreement will see DCCE review DP World practices, explore and identify energy reduction opportunities to implement in line with international standards. Agreed projects will have the potential to be applied across DP World's global network. The MoU was signed by Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, Chairman of DP World and Waleed Salman, Chairman of Dubai Carbon Centre of Excellence. The DCCE is a leading consultant on sustainability, energy efficiency and carbon reduction in the UAE. It specialises in the design and incubation of greenhouse gas reduction measures. Services include emission reduction certification, carbon enhanced energy saving and performance contracting; carbon abatement strategies, green finance and investment.
