Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, DEWA, has launched the wellness and happiness programme for its Customer Happiness staff with the aim of providing a positive and motivating work environment.
A total of 496 employees will participate in a three-month programme. The programme includes various includes discussion sessions, to enable employees to discuss the challenges they face and ways to deal with them.
Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD and CEO of DEWA, said, "DEWA works to create unique experiences for employees and stakeholders, that motivate them to adopt positive ideas and lifestyles that promote their happiness, so that we can all contribute to the vision of our wise leadership, to make Dubai the happiest city in the world."
The programme helps employees to be self-confident, and promotes team work. These are among the principles of government excellence, which focuses on self-development and creating an environment that motivates innovation and creativity among employees. This, in turn, reflects positively on their performance and interaction with the public, and raises the levels of efficiency and productivity.
