The head of the Arab Water Council said on Monday that the council will present its vision to solve the Renaissance Dam crisis between Egypt and Ethiopia during the third Arab Water Forum which will kick off Tuesday in Cairo.
"There is no certain initiative or a proposed agreement by the council to settle the differences between the two countries," Mahmoud Abu Zeid said during a press conference held Monday ahead of the forum.
"The role of the council is limited to forming a council of elders and Arab cadres to defend the Arab water rights which will be used during the negotiations," Abu Zeid added.
The forum will run until Thursday.
