Algeria will host on Tuesday the 6th round of the Arab Countries Water Utilities Association (ACWUA) conference. The conference will be held under the patronage of Algerian Minister of Water Resources Hussein Nassib. The event is held under the title of Best Practices Conference & Exhibition "Standardization and Certification in Managing Water Utilities in the Arab Region" at Hotel El Aurassi , Algiers. The conference is particularly significant and valuable for the critical importance of certification and standardization of water utilities' performance. The conference key themes are: regional standardization and certification: challenges, success factors and opportunities; standardization: an approach towards sustainability management for water utilities; institutionalization and reform of water utilities to enhance performance and comply with international management standards; and capacity building for standards compliance and certification of water utilities.
