Abu Dhabi Falcon Hospital (ADFH), the first public falcon hospital in the UAE is launching its new website at the current Abu Dhabi International Hunting & Equestrian Exhibition (ADIHEX 2012) which runs between September 5-8 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC). ADIHEX was chosen as the venue for the launch as it is the much-awaited event for a large audience form around the world, the director of ADFH Dr Margit Muller told WAM. In its stand at ADIHEX, ADFH’s team of expert veterinarians and veterinary technicians who are highly qualified and experienced in all aspects of avian medicine and surgery provide full care to participating falcons and pre-purchase checkups, she added. Also, the stand features a stray pet shelter which puts cats and dogs on display for adoption by the public, Muller noted. Opened on October 3, 1999, ADFH has become the largest falcon hospital in the UAE with a patient influx of more than 6,000 falcons a year and an additional 250 convalescent falcons. Over the years, the ADFH has established a wide patient-base from the UAE and other Arabian Gulf countries.
