Vito’s Pizza Kitchen has closed at 2921 E. Fort Lowell Road, with plans to reopen at Shlomo & Vito’s Delicatessen at 2870 E. Skyline Drive. A notice on the website notes that Vito’s “will now be serving daily at Tucson’s best deli” and promises the “same delicious family recipes, same speedy delivery, same easy phone number. ... Stop in for a real slice of New York! (Opening soon)” An employee who answered the phone at the delicatessen Tuesday said Vito’s could open in the next two to three months. The pizza spot’s Winterhaven-area location has apparently been closed a few months.
