Mouawad will be showcasing its stunning creations at two major events launching today at the Dubai World Trade Centre, the Dubai International Motor Show and Dubai International Jewellery Week. Each exhibition plays host to a one-of-a-kind record-breaking piece that Mouawad has exclusively designed and created. At the Dubai International Motor Show, a shared passion for producing the ultimate in luxury has led to collaboration between Mouawad and Rolls-Royce Motor Cars. Together, the two companies have created a full pavé diamond Spirit of Ecstasy, who today makes her public debut on the opening day of the Motor Show. The legendary flying lady that graces the front of all Phantom and Ghost models has been draped in 2,300 round brilliant cut diamonds in celebration of her centenary year. Three Mouawad master-craftsmen spent over 350 hours laying 38.53 carats of diamonds in pavé, creating a timeless homage for this icon of elegance and glamour. Another one-of-a-kind Mouawad creation, The Mouawad 1001 Nights Diamond Purse, goes on display at the Dubai World Trade Centre, as Dubai International Jewellery Week also opens to the public. The heart-shaped purse, certified by the Guinness World Record authority as the most valuable handbag in the world, is back in Dubai having being admired by jewellery connoisseurs around the globe. The diamond handbag, handcrafted from 18K gold and incorporating 4,517 diamonds (105 yellow, 56 pink and 4,356 colourless) with a total weight of 381.92 carats, is on sale, with a value of $3.8 million USD as certified by the Guinness World Record Authority. The full pavé diamond encased Spirit of Ecstasy will be showcased at the Rolls-Royce booth, Sheikh Saeed Hall booth no. SSA 18 – until Monday 14th November.
