Temperatures are expected to drop a few degrees on Wednesday, but moderate conditions will remain in the hilly areas, the eastern plains and the Badia regions, while it will be relatively hot in other parts of the Kingdom with high clouds and northwesterly moderate to brisk winds.
According to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) daily brief, a further drop in mercury levels is also forecast on Thursday, becoming 2-3 degrees below their seasonal average reaching 31 degrees Celsius in Amman and the northern areas during daytime and dropping to 15 in the capital at night.
Pleasant conditions will prevail on Thursday and Friday in the hilly areas while it will be moderate in the Badia regions, the Dead Sea, the Jordan Valley and Aqaba with clouds at various altitudes and northwesterly moderate to brisk winds, blowing dust in the eastern and southern areas, the JMD said.
Mercury levels in the Gulf of Aqaba will jump to 37 degrees sliding to 23 at night, the JMD added.
