True to the morning weather forecast shared by the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS), rain was fell on several locations around the emirates of Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah and Sharjah.
While city centres face generally hot conditions, regions such as Wadi Al Qor, Shawkah, Wadi Al Helo and Kalba faced torrential rains. Videos shared by Storm Centre show residents even stepping out of their vehicles to enjoy the rainfall. Some also took photographs.
The Friday morning forecast said: "Unstable weather conditions and rain in particular have been forecast over the weekend, until Sunday by the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS). Clouds will form over some eastern areas, becoming convective at times during afternoon, may associate with rainfall."
