Get ready for a sticky weekend, as the level of humidity is expected to rise over the weekend, to as high as 100 per cent.
The National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) on Thursday morning recorded 100 per cent humidity in the area of Al Ghuwaifat in Abu Dhabi.
However, humidity in Dubai and across the northern emirates was recorded at 20 per cent on Thursday morning.
Throughout the day, the level of humidity is expected to climb and reach up to 95 per cent in coastal areas, and 90 per cent in internal and mountain areas.
The weather will continue to remain warm in general, with maximum temperatures ranging between 40C to 45C in coastal areas, 43C to 47C in internal areas, and 31C to 38C in mountain areas.
Over the next two days, until Saturday, the weather will be hot and hazy in general, according to the NCMS.
The eastern region can expect cloudy afternoons, while all across the UAE, mild gusts of wind is expected to blow dust and sand over some exposed areas.
Humidity levels during the weekend will peak at night and into the early morning from 90 to 100 per cent, bringing about fog and mist, and reducing visibilty to less than 1,000m across UAE roads.
