Seth MacFarlane's latest animated television offering, "Bordertown," was picked up by Fox, the network said. "Bordertown" -- the fourth series from MacFarlane, creator of "Family Guy," "The Cleveland Show" and "American Dad" -- is to premiere in the 2014-15 season. "Bordertown," like MacFarlane's other shows, revolves around a fictitious and loopy family. It is set in a dusty Texas town where patriarch Buck Buchwald serves as a veteran Border Patrol agent who is slow to come to grips with the increasing influence of Hispanic culture. MacFarlane created the series along with "Family Guy" producer Mark Hentemann, who will handle much of the writing, The Hollywood Reporter said. The Reporter said "Bordertown" could be a key accomplishment for MacFarlane, whose "Cleveland Show" was canceled this year. "American Dad" was dropped by Fox after 10 seasons, but was picked up by TBS for a 15-episode run beginning in July.
