Samberg to star in British sitcom \'Cuckoo\'

Andy Samberg is to star in \"Cuckoo,\" a six-part British comedy series co-starring Greg Davies and Helen Baxendale, the BBC announced. Samberg\'s character is described as a \"square-jawed, self-appointed spiritual ninja\" and \"every parent\'s worst nightmare.\" \"The best of British meets the toast of Hollywood,\" EW.com quoted \"Cuckoo\" executive producer Ash Atalla as saying in a statement. \"We hope \'Cuckoo\' cements the special relationship between our two great countries. I imagine [President Barack] Obama and [U.K. Prime Minister David] Cameron will be watching closely.\" EW.com said the show is being taped this summer and will air later this year.
