Twenty-two-time Olympic medalist Michael Phelps said he will appear on the upcoming season of Golf Channel's "The Haney Project." The prolific swimmer, who has retired from competition after winning the most Olympic medals by a single athlete, said he's ready to take on the reality television show, The Hollywood Reporter reported. "As I enter this next chapter of my life, I think I will be able to shift my competitiveness to anything I put my mind to," Phelps said in a statement. "And golf is one of the things I want to focus on. ... I want to play all the world's great golf courses, but I'd like to play them well." The show, hosted by Tiger Woods' former coach Hank Haney, follows one celebrity over the course of a season, as they attempt to play some of the world's greatest golf courses. Previous seasons featured retired NBA star Charles Barkley, comedian Ray Romano and Adam Levine. Production of the show's fifth season is scheduled to begin in September, THR reported.
