Prominent Egyptian actress Nabila Obeid has signed a contract to star in the television drama “Kayed Al Nisa” (Women’s Vengeance) in its second part alongside Egyptian belly dancer/actress Fifi Abdo. Nabila’s nomination for the shared leading role came after Egyptian actress Summay Al Khashab, who shared the leading role in the first part of the drama last year, turned down her nomination. Other actresses were also nominated for the role, but all had turned down their nominations due to the fact to their preoccupation with other works. Nabila had signed her contract with the producing company in complete secrecy. Filming of the first scenes is scheduled to begin at the start of the month of March under the direction of Ahmad Al Badri. Other stars that will take part in the drama are Ateen Amer, Dina Foad, Ahmad Safwat, Ahmad Budayr, and the remaining cast from the first part of the drama excluding Summaya. The director of the first part f the drama Ahmad Saqr had apologized to the producing company for not being able to direct the second part due to the fact that he strongly believes sequels are less successful than the first part.
