Kiefer Sutherland is to star in a 12-episode limited run of his cancelled US political thriller series 24, starting in May 2014, Fox announced Monday. Former show-runner Howard Gordon is to produce the mini-season of the series. The critically acclaimed action-drama initially ran from 2001-10, UPI reports. "24 compressed over 12 weeks, Jack is back," The Hollywood Reporter said Fox Entertainment Chairman Kevin Reilly told reporters early Monday during a conference call. The news comes shortly after the network cancelled Sutherland's drama "Touch," which ran for two seasons.
