The event saw a mix of different nationalities on the green, competing with immense enthusiasm. Julian Chong held the third position on count back, with a score of 40 points while the second place went to Bharath Gopal with a score of 42 points. Emerging victorious, Badar Al Amri arose as the over all winner with a stunning score of 44 points.
Leon Sassen, the General Manager Golf World, noted: “I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the players who supported us and made the Kais Golf Celebration 2017 a huge success. We have created history together with the largest one-day golf tournament ever to be held in Oman and it would have been impossible without the participants. This truly is a fitting honour to His Highness Sayyid Kais bin Tariq.”
Following the tournament, an award ceremony was held at the club, featuring a speech by Ghala Golf Club’s Captain Mike Rennardson.
In the junior’s category, Aiman Al Busaidi, was hailed as the winner, followed by Osama Al Mahrooqi and Ammar Al Wahaibi.
