Winner of the Australian Open Angelique Kerber defeated Monday seventh seed Carla Suarez Navarro 6-2 and 6-4 to reach the semi-finals of the Porsche Grand Prix.
The world's third best player won her fourth match out of six with her Spanish opponent. She won this game in 72 minutes. Two-time Wimbledon champion Petra Kvitova will meet Kerber after beating Garbine Muguruza 6-1, 3-6, 6-0, German news agency DPA reported.
The other quarter-finals are top seed Agnieszka Radwanska v Karolina Pliskova and six seed Roberta Vinci v German qualifier Laura Siegemund.
