A partial solar eclipse will be observed in Egypt on Friday, said the media center of the Pyramids Monuments Area on Wednesday.
The partial cover-up of the sun will run for one hour and 27 minutes starting from from 11.03 a.m. till 12:30 p.m., it said.
The peak of eclipse will be at 11.46 a.m.
A ceremony marking the celestial event will be organized at the Sphinx area in Giza on Friday.
Only the northern-most parts of Europe will be able to see the sun fully obscured by the moon.
