Catalonia's separatist leader Carles Puigdemont told AFP on Saturday that "we won't give up our rights", vowing he and his supporters would vote in an independence referendum despite Madrid's opposition.
"We won't go home," he added, saying the regional government had "everything in place so that everything takes place normally" in the Sunday vote.
