Donald Trump decried the "audacious theft" of intellectual property on Friday, in a spirited defence of US commercial interests in front of world leaders at the APEC summit in Vietnam.
"We will confront the destructive practices of forcing businesses to surrender their technology... and forcing them into joint ventures in exchange for market access," he said.
Trump did not name any specific country, but he has previously accused China of similar IP infringements.
