Pope Francis arrived in Myanmar on Monday at the start of a highly sensitive four-day trip to a country facing global condemnation over its treatment of Rohingya Muslims.
An AFP reporter travelling with the pontiff confirmed the plane landed at Yangon's international airport on Monday afternoon, where Myanmar Catholics had gathered in anticipation of his visit.
