A Macedonian police operation against an armed group of presumed ethnic Albanians that left at least 22 people dead, including eight officers, was over, a police spokesman said on Sunday.
"The action is finished. The armed group is neutralised," Ivo Kotevski told AFP adding that the troubled area in the northern town of Kumanovo was "under police control."
