Hurricane Jose strengthened to a Category Four storm Friday, as it followed in the path of Hurricane Irma, US weather forecasters said.
The National Hurricane Center said the storm, located in the Atlantic Ocean 480 miles (775 kilometers) southeast of the Leeward Islands, was packing winds of 125 miles per hour (200 kilometers per hour), as it moved northwest at 16 miles per hour (26 kph).
