German Finance Minister Wolfgang Schaeuble, who has taken a hard line on a third Greek bailout, said he was "confident" his eurozone peers would reach an agreement at a meeting Friday.
"I am confident in the fact that we are going to get a result today," Schaeuble said as he arrived for the meeting of all 19 eurozone finance ministers in Brussels.
"If we do not get an accord today, then we will have to arrange a bridging loan," he added, referring to financing for Greece to cover a debt payment due August 20 to the European Central Bank.
