Brazil's government has successfully appealed an injunction that had suspended a multi-billion dollar oil field auction, a source in the presidency told AFP Friday.
The overturning of the injunction, brought by trade unions and the leftist Workers' Party, would mean the auction of the potentially hugely lucrative pre-salt oil fields would be able to go ahead in Rio de Janeiro.
