European Union Ambassador to Nepal Rensje Teerink has announced that up to 1,000 Europeans are among the missing in the aftermath of destructive earthquake which jolted Nepal six days ago.
She said most of the missing were practicing the mountaineering at Mount Langtang in Mount Everest range.
"We don't know where they are, or they could be," the EU Ambassador said, explaining that most of them were in Langtang and some others were in Lukla area.
The confirmed death toll from the disaster has risen to 6,200, with about 14,000 injured. It also resulted in an avalanche in an Mount Everest camp that killed over 300 people.
