Electricity Minister Mohamed Shaker said power services will continue to improve after several new power stations had come into service in April.
The limited amount of available fuel was the main reason for power cuts in the past period, Shaker said in a press conference Thursday held to announce new electricity prices.
The restructuring of the power pricing system has saved huge amounts of money and helped in carrying out maintenance operations on power stations on schedule, he said.
The power outages in the past period were due to vandalism acts not technical malfunctions, he said.
