Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab stressed on Sunday that Egypt achieved a real boom in the electricity domain in terms of production, maintenance of stations and setting up more distribution networks.
"We addressed many challenges to realize this boom and provided necessary funding either from the State budget or investments," he said during a meeting with the Vice President of the Electricity of France Company.
He expressed Egypt's welcome to cooperate with France in the power domain, saying Egypt is looking forward to benefit from the French expertise in the new and renewable energy field.
He also expressed desire that France would cooperate with Egypt in setting up a school for technical training to attract qualified technical cadres.
The French official said her country is willing to cooperate with Egypt in the electricity domain, sharing the opinion that technical training is crucial for growth.
