Arab League (AL) Secretary General Nabil el Araby said that the Arab countries should upgrade their peaceful use of atomic energy so as to catch up with the technological revolutions achieved by other nations.
The AL chief's remark came during a speech he gave during the 12th Arab Conference on the peaceful use of atomic energy, read out on his behalf by Arab League Minister Plenipotentiary Emad Abulnaaj.
The event is organized by the Arab Atomic Energy Agency (AAEA) from May 16 till 20 in Sharm el Sheikh.
