Egyptian actress Yussra el-Lozi told Arabstoday that she has been shocked and appalled by rumours that she was reduced to co-hosting X-Factor Arabic because she couldn’t find acting work. Yussra explained that, on the contrary, she is currently working on two projects: 6:1, a film for cinema and Adam and Gamila, a TV series starring Hassan el-Raddad. Despite her busy working schedule, el-Lozi said she is still plagued by persistent rumours that Egyptian producers have abandoned showbiz amid the current political turmoil sweeping the nation. "I think the enemies of success are the ones saying these nefarious things in order to sabotage my career,” Yussra exclaimed, ” I agreed to host the X Factor because I wanted to get into presenting for the first time, not because I was desperate for work." The actress went on to explain, "In a week I will resume shooting for6:1, which was stopped because of the events in Egypt. I'm not going to worry myself with the silly things that are being said. The next period in my career requires a lot of focus, I won’t be distracted."
