Syrian singer Ali Al Deek has denied rumours he was threatened by the rebel Free Syrian Army (FSA). “I didn’t receive any death threats from the opposition,” Al Deek told Arabstoday during an exclusive interview. Earlier reports had suggested the singer had come under fire for his support for President Bashar al-Assad. “I don’t involve myself in politics. My only concern is Syria and the lives of its citizens,” Al Deek said. The singer also denied reports he had moved to Lebanon. “I move between Beirut and Damascus depending on my gigging commitments.”
