Souheir Ramzy returns to the small-screen with the filming of her new television series Jadawel starting soon, Arabstoday has learnt in an interview with the star. The Egyptian actress said: “We’ve finished the final preparations for the series and start shooting very soon. The series follows the story of an Egyptian woman who manages to overcome many tribulations.” Ramzy will play the lead role in the drama and gave Arabstoday an exclusive insight into her character, saying: “She’s a woman who has faced many difficulties in her life, first by failing to gain a high school education, then marrying an alcoholic. But she perseveres through it and we see her struggle to earn respect in society.” Her role in Habib El-Rough saw the actress come out of a 12-year retirement, and with the upcoming series, and it looks like she might be here to stay.
