Tunisian actress Sanaa Youssef has revealed she has accepted a role in Sherif Arafa’s new flick al-Jazeera II, which will see her starring alongside tough-guy actor Ahmed El Sakka.? Speaking exclusively to Arab Today, Sanaa said director Sherif Arafa contacted her a few days ago about the part, which will be her first foray into Egyptian cinema, although she is a familiar face on Egyptian television due to her roles in Firqat Naji Attallah (The Naji Attallah team), Nuqtat Duuf (Weakspot) and Fad Ishtibak (Disengagement).? The star expects her new project might surprise some of her fans. Sanaa insisted there was no bad feeling between her and Hend Sabri, and said she didn’t know if her new role would be the same character as the one played by her fellow Tunisian actress in part one. Starring alongside Sanaa in al-Jazeera II will be Ahmed El Sakka, Khaled El Sawy, Mahmoud Abdel Ghany, ?and Ezzat Abou Ouf. The script is written by Mohamed Diab. The sequel will continue the story of Mansour El Hefni, who escaped from prison after the Egyptian revolution, seeing him returning ?to the criminal ways he pursued in part one.?
