Lebanese singer Najwa Karam said she is about to start shooting her latest music video for the song “Habibi Meen”, or (who is my sweetheart) to be released as a single at the Valentine’s Day.
The new clip is a message of love for the whole mankind, Karam said in an interview with Arab Today adding that the new clip will be a “nice surprise” for her audience.
The lyric of her new clip is for Wael al Ashkar and composer Melhem Abu Shded. She said she has postponed the shooting of another music video due to the sandstorm that currently hits Lebanon as most of the shooting is outdoors.
Recently, the Music Production Company Rotana has suggested to its newest added member renowned Saudi singer Mohamad Abdo the idea of singing a duet with Najwa. Mohammad has given his initial acceptance to the idea on the conditions that he looks over the words of the song, in addition to composing it. Abdo also requests to look over all other the details concerning the new project.
Najwa gave her acceptance to the proposal and agreed to all of Mohammad’s conditions without hesitation. Najwa stressed that she holds very high respect for Mohammad and his achievements as a singer, who has given so much to the music industry in the Arab world.
According to the London based Elaph, the music video was to be released this month, but the assassination of Lebanese PM Rafiq Al Hariri has called for its postponement. The singer stressed that it would be insensitive of her to release the clip when everyone in Lebanon is in mourning over the loss of Al Hariri.
