The Egyptian actress Nelly Karim has expressed her grave fear and concern over events on the streets of Egypt. She rejected all the clashes between supporters and opponents of President Morsi around the Palace and in Tahrir Square. She described attacks targeting a number of politicians such as Mohammad Abu Hamid as: “totally unacceptablee.” In a statement to Arabstoday Nelly said: "I think that the future of the nation is at risk. Every day we have violent incidents, people die and get injured. Unfortunately the president has not intervened to put an end to this.” As for the attacks against politicians, Nelly said: "We live in a lawful state, if we don’t put an end to them it will turn into a forest governed only by power.”
