MTV wins appeal against Maya Diab

The Urgent Appeals Court in Beirut has issued a verdict compelling Lebanese star Maya Diab to honour her contract with channel MTV. Diyab's contract stipulates that she has to complete the third season of the show "Heik Menghanny" (That Is How We Sing), and not to work for any other channels for two and half years. The verdict will render void Maya's contract with Egyptian TV channel al-Nahar, in which she was reportedly paid $ 1.6 million to present the Arabic version of the show "Deal or No Deal".
