Egyptian actor Mahmoud Yassin has stated that the scriptwriter Magdy El-Ebyary has chosen him to star in season two of the acclaimed TV series ‘My brother is a police officer’ or ‘Hadret El-Zabet Akhy’. Yassin’s role will be that of a father of two police officers, one of them a good officer, while the other is evil. After finishing 15 episodes of the TV show, El-Ebyary chose Egyptian actor Magdy Kamel for being the evil officer but hasn't decided on the rest of the cast yet. Veteran actor Yassin also commented on Egypt's current circumstances, saying: “The Egyptians led a great revolution, inspired by the Egyptian youth. These young people are always looking to change Egypt for the better, and I believe that innovation and progress are always possible with them at the helm.”
