Egyptian actor Maged Kedwani expressed deep happiness over the civilized manifestation of Egyptians in the New Year’s Eve celebrations which took place in Tahrir Square, where he says he was overwhelmed by laughter and tears. Kedwani said he was worried that such a delightful night would turn into a disaster, however, was relieved that it went well. He added that the Tahrir youth proved to those who attacked them that they are conscious and educated, and hoped that Tahrir Square would always be in such a spirit. Kedwani said that he was deeply moved when he saw a martyr’s mother get on the wooden platform to recite a eulogy for her son which made him cry.
