Lebanese actress and director Nadine Labaki is set to head to France, where she will play the lead in a film by world-class director, Arabstoday has learned. This new coup confirms that Labaki is on track for an unforgettable career The actress has just finished filming a new Moroccan movie, in which she also stars. The film is expected to be released soon in Morocco and the Arab world. Labaki is currently writing the script for her next project, which is taking up much of her time. Her first two works, Sekkar Banat (Caramel) and Halaa Lewain (Where Do We Go Now?) garnered masses of awards, and was nominated for the Camera d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival for Caramel. Earlier this year, she was named the 39th most powerful Arab women by Arabian Business magazine.
