Syrian actress Kinda Alloush has issued a statement on her Facebook page confirming that her support for the Syrian people does not mean that she supports the Muslim Brotherhood, whether in Syria or Egypt. On her Facebook account the Syrian actress said “to be with the people and the revolution does not mean that we support any Islamic group,” she added “to support the people of the revolution does not mean that we are sectarian and it obviously does not mean that we adopt US policies.” She also clarified that by supporting the revolution she is not a traitor. The actress stressed that her goal is “the safety of civilians and the establishment of a democratic civil state that preserves the rights of everyone.” Alloush also said that the Brotherhood's condemnation of crimes committed by regime forces does not mean that Israel is not the enemy. Kinda Alloush is currently filming the TV show Friendly Fires with Menna Shalabi, Rania Youssef, Sabri Fawaz, Amr Youssef, and Mohammed Shaheen. The series is written by Mohamed Amin Radi, and directed by Khaled Marei.
