Hassan Youssef will not be appearing on TV screens for the second year in a row, the Egyptian actor has confirmed today. Youssef's last on screen appearance was in Zahra w Azwagha el-Khamsa (Zahra and Her Five Husbands) in which he co-starred alongside Ghada Abdel Razek in 2011. The actor has admitted that he is struggling to secure acting roles, which he blames on “stagnation” within the industry. "I'm deeply saddened that Ramadan drama fans won't be seeing me for the second year running, but it's not up to me,” he told Arabstoday. “I wasn't offered parts in a drama, which I think is down to the general stagnation that production companies are going through because of the dire situation in Egypt,” he said.
