At a conference for the Egyptian Creative Front, held at the Journalists’ syndicate, Egyptian actress Fardos Abdel Hamid met the young doctor Ahmed Harara, who lost both his eyes in clashes at protests in Tahrir. Abdel Hamid greeted the revolutionary icon by bending to kiss his hands in gratitude for his efforts, along with other young Egyptians, to liberate Egypt. The attendees were touched by the spontaneous move, and started cheering passionately, repeating Harara’s name. The Egyptian dentist Ahmed Harara had lost his right eye during the January 25 revolution, on January 28 in Tahrir, then lost his left eye on November 19 during the clashes at Mohamed Mahmoud Street between protesters and security forces.
