In an exclusive interview with Arabstoday, Egyptian actress Dalia el-Behiri has launched a scathing attack on the Egyptian leadership, saying it has "lost its legitimacy." The actress claimed "running over protestors with armoured vehicles and shooting them with live ammunition and buckshot" had caused President Mohammed Morsi’s downfall in the eyes of the Egyptian people. "Morsi's regime lost it the moment the first martyr died under its rule,” she said. “Plus the fact that the revolution’s demands -- ‘Bread, freedom and social justice’ -- still haven’t been realised.” "I wish this unjust and tyrannical regime would just go away," el-Behiri added. El-Behiri begins filming for new series The Minors on Monday, in which she will unveil her Upper Egyptian accent for the first time. She stars alongside Salah el-Saadani, Lekaa Swidan and Abeer Sabri.
