Filming television serial Fi Ghamdet Ein [In the Blink of an Eye] is on hold as its star, Dalia al-Behiri, takes part in a Tahrir-Square sit-in protesting President Mohammed Morsi’s recent decrees, the Egyptian actress has told Arabstoday. Al-Behiri also cited “external scenes” that she said would be “difficult to shoot under the circumstances.” “The series only requires two more weeks of shooting before it is shows in January,” she added. In the Blink of an Eye, which is written by Fedaa al-Shandawili, produced by Mohammed al-Shaqanqiri and directed by Samih al-Naqqash, tells the story of a girl named Nabila [played by singer Angham] who grows up in an orphanage in Upper Egypt. She becomes acquainted with Fatma [al-Behiri] but circumstances split them apart and they are reunited at university when their relationship becomes the focus of the drama. The series also stars Angham, Ahmed Wafiq, Fadia Abdulghani, Mohammed al-Shaqanqiri, Sherif Ramzi and Naglaa Badr.
