Emmy Award-winning actor Brad Garrett is to serve as host of the Writers Guild of America Awards ceremony in Los Angeles, the WGA said Tuesday. The event is to be held Feb. 1 at the JW Marriott L.A. LIVE. "Writers have always been the backbone of our business, and I'm thrilled to be able to celebrate their big night -- plus, I have two hours left to complete my community service," Garrett joked in a statement. "We're absolutely thrilled that Brad will be our host. With Brad, you not only get one of television's great comedic actors, but also a fearless stand-up comic, a truly hilarious observer, and a consummate professional," said show executive producer Cort Casady. Garrett is best known for his work on the sitcom "Everybody Loves Raymond."
