Super star Naglaa Fathy has tried to blame the poor quality of the recent Egyptian films released during Eid al-Adha on the Egyptian revolution. She said to Arabstoday: “After a revolution, any country will find that artistic productions are of a poor quality. “After the death of our former President Gamal Abdel Nasser, the same phenomenon happened when Former President Sadat took over.” The actress added: “I wish we could go back to the era of story-telling in Egyptian cinema to take the viewers away from their daily life and relax them.” A numbers of films released during Eid al-Adha have been heavily criticised in the press.
